The Indie Dev Day returns on September 7 and 8 to the Canòdrom of Barcelona to celebrate its second edition and promote independent video games.
After the success of the first edition, where 1400 people enjoyed the activities and video games of the event in a single day, this year the event will be extended throughout the weekend and an attendance of about 3500 people is expected. We can find 35 video game studios that will present their projects and more than 41 indies videogames! You can try them all totally free.
In addition to the videogame stands, attendees can enjoy the Arcade Zone and play a large selection of retro titles. There will also be arcades with videogames created by studies of the fair, designed to be enjoyed with the gameplay of yesterdays.
Those interested in the creation of video games will have meetings and round tables during the two days in which they can learn about many topics. We highlight the round table on Spanish development with professionals in the sector and the round table of publishers, but also more topics such as marketing for studios with few resources or how to raise the location of a videogame.
During the event, attendees can relax in the Chill Out Zone, equipped with a dining area and several music sessions focused on the world of videogames by various DJ’s.
Finally, on Sunday the Indie Dev Awards will be held to recognize the best games of the fair. Another novelty of this year is the inclusion of an award to media outlets for the indie videogame, which aims to recognize the work of the press specialized in disseminating the works of local studios.
