The story introduces us to the princess Cheri, she must make her way through 6 different areas in the kingdom of REKNUM, in order to reach the castle where the evil sorceress is. The sorceress has locked the entire kingdom within 5 crystals to absorb their vital energy and become immortal, your mission will be to break the crystals and kill the evil sorceress in order to restore peace to the kingdom.
The game has elements that make it very characteristic. 8bit characters, 16bit backgrounds and bosses, all with modern effects to give life.
The music section is also special, composed by Ines Mirás, she gives a twist to the gameplay since it has a base structure in 8bit with modern music and instrumental arrangements.
The conceptual art is elaborated by Anthony di Masi, and he replicated the artistic style of the manga and anime of the late 80’s, all to give a more retro style to the game.
In Reknum you play the rol of the princess Cheri, who must advance through 6 different completely explorable zones, loot chests with crystals that will increase her passive skills in order to advance.
The game has the autosave feature, so you can move at your own pace and devote to explore each area thoroughly.
Each zone introduces different elements which must be evaluated in order to be able to advance, to examine how to advance, to examine the behavior of the enemies and to fight bosses in the pure style of the NES will be your day to day in the game.
